Abstract. The via D’Amelio massacre is an event to be remembered, to be kept alive in the consciences of present and future citizens. To do this, awareness and method of memory are needed. There is a need for a constant reconstruction of the past, which, in the light of present needs, continues to re-emerge to find answers to unresolved issues.
