The difficult relationship between law and concreteness

Abstract. The San Patrignano case caused an incredible uproar in Italy in the 1980s, and then was later forgotten. Looking back over the judicial case, known as the “chain trial”, it is natural to question the relationship between principles, rules and concrete case and the role of the judge in the «concretization of the law».
