Male violence against women: gender stereotypes and repressive bulimia
Abstract. Male violence on women is still an unsolved problem, an intrinsic character of our society. The use of criminal law (in terms of sanctions increase and limitations of defensive guarantees during trials) to face with such an issue cancels any analysis on the complexity of this problem. It also inhibits the im-provement of preventive interventions, which would more effectively bring to a required cultural change, essential to rebuild the man-woman relationship outside the pre-established roles patriarchy.
