Abstract. The present article provides an analysis on the use of the theatre in juvenile detention centres as a re-educational device, which aims at the social reintegration of minor detainees in compliance with the re-educational principle of punishment enshrined by our constitutional Charter.
The analysis is based on the theatrical laboratories promoted by the theatre company Puntozero at the Milan juvenile detention centre Cesare Beccaria.
